im building a pc with my brother

the pc is second hand and i only need a gpu

the rig is

i7 2600k

asus rog 5 extreme

8gb 1600

and cooler master gx 650w bronze 80

so i found a cheap gtx 780 poseidon 3gb with minimum use i think is only 5 mothsd and the owner just play low demanding games

my question is

should i get? i mean is still good in 2016? or should i say for next year?

we have a 1080p monitor

currently with a 650ti

will the psu can handle the gpu?
or should save money for a new gpu

i dont live in the us
thank u

I have a 780 GTX and feel it runs everything just fine at 1080p and ultra quality settings. I am very happy with mine. But if I were you I'd buy a new 1070 GTX. it would be more future proof.

yes, still good, very good

not as good as modern cards in terms of heat, power consumption and noise but this poseidon i think it has two fans so should be mostly silent

this one right?

if the price is right, get it, if not, then a new rx470 or a 1050 are good options at a decent price

one thing to consider is that it requires a 6 pin and a 8 pin power conectors but that cooler master should have two 6+2 power conectors so you can use it without problems

that card should feel somewhat weak perhaps in 2018 when put against games from the end of 2017 and beggining of 2018 in hight or ultra settings, other than that, should go well for a couple years on 1080p

crysis3 at 4k at around 20fps at very high settings, that card is not ideal for 4k but should do well for you

one thing confuses me about that card, is it water cooled or air cooled, i don't understand that page

the cpu is what maybe could be a bottleneck being that old and somewhat slow but is a k cpu so should let you overclock above 4 ghz with a decent cpu cooler

noise and power consumption, heat should be considered with it also but if it is a good price or you already have it for free, keep it but try a different cpu cooler than the intel one if it has that one

all together when playing should use around 400 watts from the wall, let us know how it goes!

the gtx780 is roughly as fast as a 3gb 1060. so yes it definitely still relevant for gaming. if it is worth it for you depends on how much you are spending on it. i have seen some 4gb rx480s going for as low as $160 after rebates and it is a better card all the way around.

yes is tha vga with water cooling

the guy did not use it with water
im stuck at 1080p for the moment i really dont care about gaming at 4k and also because 4k monitor are expensive as a new 1080 gtx

im sorry is the 2600 non k my mistake,so i will have a big bottleneck paired with this vga?
i was considering the 1050ti 4gb but i still not sure

the price is from my currency to dolars is $274 for the 780
