I'm asking for a friend but he is experiencing random reboots. The weird thing is it's not when his playing a game, just when the machine is either idling or say on YouTube.
Windows 10
His setup is
Core i5 6600
Msi gtx 1070 gaming x
Msi 170a gaming pro motherboard
16gb Kingston hyper fury x ram

Sorry if the details are vague, I'm currently at work. I'm unsure of what his psu is but he has mention that it's a 6 year old model (750 watts though)

Can you please pass son your specs as follows:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
Chassis:
OS:

If the machine reboots when idle then it's a PSU related issue. If the system reboots when you have it under Youtube duties, it's possible the browser you're using is causing the issue either from the memory end or your GPU drivers are causing it.

Run memtest86 for at least 10 passes and then report back if you get any errors. Next, make sure your motherboard BIOS is up to date while the latest GPU drivers are on. If the latest drivers are the result of the issue, then revert to an older revision after using DDU to rid your system of the drivers. Try another browser and see if Youtube duties causes a reboot.
