Hello, so I am building my first PC and I already placed the ram, the cpu, the cooler and the thermal paste. My case and psu will arrive tomorrow, and my question is; Once my case and power supply arrive and I am ready to power it up, do I need to remove my cooler and place it again and place the thermal paste once more?

Thanks in advance.

I agree with Barty1884. There should be no reason to remove it. I have been building PCs for over 15 years and I typically do what you just did. I typically find it easier to do it that way.

BTW. Congrats on taking the step forward to build your first PC! I think you are going to find it is a very rewarding experience. While you wait for those other parts to arrive here are some tips you can read though.

Also, I would highly recommend a headband light. It can make working in your case SOOOOOO MUCH EASIER! It frees up a hand that you don't have to use holding a flashlight. It is particularly helpful when you connect all of the case wires, Hardrive LEDs, and power button cables to the motherboard.

You can typically get them at lowes or home depot for about $12 to $14
