HDMI output on PC no longer working. There are two hdmi ports that seem to be connected to the graphics card. When I go from either of those two ports to tv I get no picture or sound. There is a 3rd hdmi on its own off to the side. I'm pretty sure its the intel on board because when I right click desktop all this intel stuff comes up and usually its NVIDIA. I cant run games when plugged into this hdmi and they get all laggy and crash, again leading me to believe I'm only using on board when plugged into this port.

Anyways, these two ports connected to graphics card worked for two weeks until I unplugged to reconfigure my set up and now I don't get any display from those ports.

Computer specs Its an
ASUS ROG G20
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz
BIOS Mode UEFI
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 16.0 GB
Name Intel(R) HD Graphics 530

Just realized it shows Intel graphics when actually I have an 8gb Nvidia gtx 1070, which is what usually shows when I'm plugged into the other ports viewing system information.

Does anyone know what any possible fixes or things I can try to get this thing working again. It is new and I can return but I bought it on cyber Monday sale and I believe if I return it I wont get it at that price anymore.

Please help!

If you'd like to try there's plenty of people to help (including myself). Hardest part is picking the parts. ;) I've built 6 systems now, feel free to PM me any time.

No, I never opened the case before or after this occurrence. I tried after the output stopped working but there is a tricky warrantee sticker on the case so I didn't open it up. Also I believe my system isn't showing my proper GPU because I'm plugged in the onboard hdmi port. My ports for the Nvidia card are unresponsive but before when I was plugged into them and opened system info it showed the proper graphics card.

It sounds like a bad GPU to me (outright dead, not getting power, whatever). I'd contact whoever you bought the system from with your issue if you're still under warranty and go from there.

yea, its kind of what I figured but part of me really hoped that it wasn't. I'm just attempting a drivers uninstall/reinstall to see If they gets me anywhere. Otherwise I'm on the phone with ASUS.
I purchased from best buy but I know they will only take a return and not an exchange because I got it at a discount sale price. and since I didn't buy a warrantee from them they won't swap out a new machine you have to just buy something else or take your malfunctioning hardware back. It's b.s.

I'd suggest building your own PC next time tbh (it's not too hard, like playing with legos). I couldn't imagine having a PC that I couldn't crack open to troubleshoot. Not to mention the individual parts warranties are anywhere from 3-10 years without extended warranties.

Unlikely that dead outputs could be fixed with drivers, but it's worth a shot. Best of luck man!
