Hi there STUDENT_Pola,

You will notice significantly shorter boot and loading times. Yet, as Dr Girlfriend suggested, it could be something else that is causing the issue you are facing.
I believe that it would be a nice start to just reinstall the software.
Another thing you can do is to go to Resource Monitor and see if any of the components has really high usage when you get that not responding message.

Cheers,

Are you using windows 10, there is a bug in it, at start up your disk will be 100% used, thus even after windows started, programs get freeze, my Microsoft visio will not start up, my adobe photoshop will never start up, it rather give 'unable to open the application'.. bla..bla....bla.

I get to Device Manager, update the driver of IDE ATA/ATAPI, I am good now.
If you replace your HDD with SSD(which brand, what is the specs?) it will be like 'driving bullock-cart and now driving BMW car'.
