Hello I'm struggling to see a difference in my rig after getting a 1080 upgrade from a r9 390X any info would be great especially on what FPS is to be expected in Arma 3

My Rig running on a Toshiba 1920x1080 Full HDTV (I'm thinking this mabey the issue but shouldn't think so)

Motherboard = Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H
Memory = 16gb running at 2600mhz i believe and croshair i think
CPU = Intel 3rd Generation Core i7-3770K CPU (4 x 3.50GHz, Ivy Bridge, Socket 1155
Graphic Card = EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0
Power Supply = EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2

My FPS on Arma 3 Exile (The only mod I really play except Arma 3 Life which is the same FPS crack) is only 10 maybe 15 more than the R9 390x

I was well disappointed and was thinking about a fresh format of windows 10 pro but would like a opinion from you guys first please

wouldn't have a budget mate can save some coin up easy just would not know where to start on monitors and ave just paid 650 for the graphics card so don't want it to go to waste

looking at the monitors now will running arma 3 in 2560x1440 lower my fps as its a higher resolution and if i got a new gsync free 144Hz gaming monitor will this help my fps much even if i have 2 run arma 3 1920x1080p

With the board you currently have there isnt a better CPU you can get, like maxalge said maybe try overclocking the CPU and see how much of a difference that makes.

thank you for the info mate i'm pretty good at overclocking and ivy-bridge is quite simple i will be able to overclock my CPU to 4.4 from the standard 3.5 on the air cooler i have so will see how this performs also overclocking my graphics card should expect 2111 clock speed

will take a while for stress testing and stable volts so my cpu wont go above 70 degrees Celsius will post to let yous know the outcome

thanks again for all your support people mad prop's

will this monitor be ok its 2560 x 1440 pixels
