How is the 6700k different from 6600k ?

Solution
thers a difference between 'fewer fps' and a bottleneck.

in that image you posted above, something like the AMD 860K is bottlenecking... you'd get the same FPS from a much cheaper card

A bottleneck is when the CPU con't generate any more FPS between two different cards

Adding to the above, 4 Cores 8 Threads (Hyper threading) so it has 4 logical cores, so as said above processes things much quicker.

People tend to use these processors for rendering and multithreaded programs as it speeds up the process logically, by double the speed (Not correct but you get where I'm going), but it speeds it up quite a lot, actually.

The 6600K doesn't really.

Don't forget that the base clocks of a 6600K is 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Boost) and the 6700K is 4GHz (4.2GHz), and the threads may assist with that too.

You will rarely, if ever, be bottlenecked with a 6600k. Maybe if you're running dual GTX 1080s or something.

Why are you so sure that 6600k doesnt bottleneck??
In last few new games i7 performs much better than i5, just look at watch dogs 2 and Bf1, i5 sits all the time at 100% even with GPUs like gtx 1060 or RX 480. Slowly but steady i5 is not cutting anymore for high end GPU's.
Just look at i5 performance in Gears of war 4

Even Overwatch benefits from i7

@st3v30 fair enough. You highlight an area where more CPU power can become especially important: achieving very high (~100+) fps. But if you're aiming for 60 fps gaming, which I feel is the majority of people, I doubt there's many cases where a 6700k could hack it but a 6600k couldn't.

Those benchmarks are somewhat unrealistic, as basically no one is going to be using a Titan X/GTX 1080 for 1080p gaming. And in that Techspot article for GoW 4 you'll see that as soon as they drop down to a 'weaker' card (Fury X, 980 Ti, GTX 1070), framerates for 6700k and 6600k become quite close.
