How hot is it getting? Have you cleaned out the dust? Videocards will slow themself down alot if they start to overheat in order to cool down so are you getting terrible performance in games?

Its getting over 90 degrees on most games (except games with very low requirements), And i'm pretty sure i cleaned most of the dust out. The performance of games is pretty good with mostly stable 60fps so that's kinda weird.

90 degrees Celsius! What video card do you have? The heat could damage it. I would ask if you tried running fans always at 100% but they should be @ 100% if it's 90 degrees. On the other hand maybe you card is meant to get to 90. Silly question, are the fans spinning? Did you take it out of your computer and put it back in right before you started having heat problems?

I have a Nvidia Geforce Gtx 670 and my fans seem to be spinning correctly (Although when i try to make them run harder they don't really seem to react to it) . The problem just started one day and i noticed that my pc also got quite a bit louder since then so that might be related.

I have a fan blowing over my open case. Fans are powered by electromagnetics so don't put them too close to your hard drives or to be safe like me close to your computer at all in general. I actually had rare data loss and learned my fan was too close to my ethernet cable
