Okey guys I get FPS drops in all games. Doesn't matter if the settings are on high or low. They run smooth and at some point it laggs for 1 or 2 seconds and it goes good again.
My Build:
Motherboard - ASRock 960GM/U3S3 FX
CPU - AMD fx-8120
Cooler - Artic Freezer 7 pro rev. 2
Video Card - AMD Radeon R9 270x 4gb
RAM - 2x4gb Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 1333
SSD - Kingston HyperX SSD — SH103S3
Storage - Seagate Desktop HDD ST2000DM001 2TB
PSU - EVGA 500w
OS - Windows 10
The CPU cooler was installed this week with new thermal paste.
Tested CPUwith Burner and gaming - gets as far as 47 C
The video was tested with gaming and GPU core burner - gets to 65 C
I checked all the topics for FPS drops:
I checked for viruses and malware - no result (on Windows 7)
Formatted C: the SSD) and intalled Windows 10 - didn't help
Unparked cores - didn't help
Changed CPU Cooler - didn't help (temperture was about 66-67 C with the stock cooler)
Checked with a 750W PSU - didn't help
Drivers are up to date.
Running with anti-virus on Silent mode and OFF - didn't help
I am running out of options here. Down to two:
1. Motherboard busted
2. Parts Incompatible
I bought the PC used 2-3 years ago and since the CPU, Motherboard and RAM are the only parts I have not upgraded yet... And the processor seems to be working fine, at this point I am hoping that the problem is motherboard malfunctioning.
