I purchased an Asus VG248Q, 144hz & 1ms response time, on black Friday from Best Buy for $179. Got it for gaming build I just got. However, it does not have G-sync. I just know noticed NewEgg has its replacement that has G-sync, PG248Q, for $320. I have no experience with PC gaming. Is the G-sync worth the extra $140? When it was at Best Buy for $450, there wasn't a question in my mind whether it was worth it, but at $320, I'm kinda wondering. If you really can't tell much difference, I think I'd rather wait to upgrade to a bigger monitor in a couple years. CPU has 1070 GPU and 16 gig ram, 6700k processor.

VG248QE for $179
or
PG248Q, w/G-sync, $320

???

Thanks in advance.

are you having any issues with your current monitor and screen tearing? if yes... and you dont mind spending the 320, go for it. if you arent having any framerate issues, then i would just keep your monitor

Haven't even opened the vg248qe. Its a Xmas present. I have until Jan 15 to take it back. That's what is was considering doing, but just wasn't sure if it was worth the hassle and extra $140. Just wonder if I would even be able to notice the difference.
