whos is better

hello, i am making this thread because i am frusterated at a friend because he thinks his computer is better than mine. im going to write a little paragraph of what we each have and i wil llet you guys tell me the truth. i keep telling him and we keep arguing that i am a little better than he is.
He has an intel core i7 4790k, i have an intel core i73770k
he has corsair vengense 8 gbs of ddr3 ram i have crucial ballistix tactical led 8 gbs of ram at 2400 mhz
he has some msi socket z97 motherboard and i have the asrock extreme 11 z77 board
he has a normal one terrabyte sata drive, i have a 256 crucial mx100 solid state drive and a 1 terrobyte sata drive to use with my apps. i only keep windows on the solid state drive.
he has a gtx 1060 6 gb graphics card, i have the gtx 1080 8 gb asus turbo graphics card.
he has a corsair 650 watt psu, i have the corsair 850 watt psu

so really is this even a debatable argument on whos pc is better?
there isnt one thing i cant do he cant do, i can max out games.
he knows i have a way by far better GPU. his smartass comment was "i can max out any game i want to"
no he cant! i would get way more preformance in gaming than he will and i would smoke him over and over again. i just want to know what you guys think. i know i could have made this blog better by using pics but i just want to get the point out. whos is better? i think i would smoke him hands down. i also have an aftermarket cpu heatsink and he is still using the stock heat sink. hope to hear from you guys.

Watch the language.

It depends on the application that happens to be running. For applications that are processor dependent, your friend has the better system. For applications that are more graphically dependent, you have the better system.

i would take your system every day for gaming. the 3770k is only slightly slower than a 4790k (we're talking 5-10% at the same clock speed). whereas, the gtx 1080 is quite a bit faster than the gtx 1060. plus the SSD and the (most likely) better power supply.

his point is valid that he can probably max out any game he wants if we are talking about 1920x1080. what i would suggest is not to let this get in the way of a friendship, though. it's quite a petty argument. you both have good PCs.

Of course they are both very nice PCs, but I personally would choose your friends if I had to choose one to drive on a daily basis.

I would run a large set of benchmarks on both PC's both real life and synthetics, both gaming and application and see who wins

i think it's pretty easy to say that his will slightly lose all CPU based tasks and heavily win GPU based tasks like gaming...

Why would you argue over such a petty thing with a FRIEND just tell him it doesn't matter who has the best PC both are nice so it doesn't matter.
It's much better to keep a friend close than strain your friendship over something that doesn't even matter.
If it comes down to it just say he has a better CPU but you have a better GPU so we will call it even.

As in another post, pretty simple to tell with some hard numbers, as long as both are running the same operating system, run PassMark and 3DMark and see who gets the better numbers.
