I have this setup and when im playing games i tend to use multiple screens and watch twitch or youtube on the other and im getting these screen frame losses and i dont know what that is all about but i can't hold a solid framerate in some games and i maybe wondered if i needed more cores for my PC but not sure if it's worth it or if it even would be an downgrade
here's my setup and i was wondering if switch out my motherboard (because i have an intel now) for an amd3+ and get an amd cpu with 8 cores for example the AMD FX-8370 Black Edition Processor. what do you guys think about this or you have any other tips to get rid of my frame losses
GPU: gtx 1060 6gb
CPU: i5 4770k overclocked
CPUFAN: Noctua D-15
PSU: 650W something
Motherboard asus Z87-A
RAM: 16gb 1600mhz ddr3
SSD: 256gb <--windows on this one
HDD: 3tb
HDD: 1tb
Chassi: Fractal Design Define R4

Solution
You have an incredible PC. The more cores are not the solution. AMD's am3+ chipset is dead and outdated and it's a lot worse than your current.

You most likely can't get solid FPS on any game, cause your PSU sucks if it's unknown and fails to deliver all the power. Has it cut out? Overheating problem?
