Which CPU will you recommend?

I want to buy a new cpu (now i have AMD A8-5500, GPU is R9 380 4Gb), but i have a limited budget. So i am choosing between i3-6100 and FX83--.
i3-6100 is a bit more powerful in games than FX (if tests arent lying), and more energy efficient, but it needs new RAM (DDR4) and Mobo (as well as fx). Bottleneck is also a questsion.
FX is cheaper now, it has more cores, so its more effective in media rendering, 3D, streaming, i can use my old RAM and do overclock, but there is no way for upgrade (so, is it actual in this/next year?).
Help me with decision, please :)

i3 works better in everyday tasks, if you don't do much media rendering and 3d, then go with the i3, it's better for gaming and more responsive for casual browsing and stuff.

Well it just depends if you looking to maybe build a basically full new machine in a year or so get end the FX. If you want to start the upgrade process then go with the i3 it will cost more now as you will need memory and new MB and you probably won't see any real gaming improvement (you probably wouldn't with the FX either).
