Here's what I'm considering purchasing:

Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
CRYORIG C7 40.5 CFM CPU Cooler
MSI H81M-E34 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Avexir Core Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Seagate 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive
MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB GAMING X Video Card
Corsair Carbide Series 88R MicroATX Mid Tower Case
Rosewill HIVE 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Also purchasing Windows 10 64-bit on a USB

Will all these parts work together, any compatibility issues, or any additional parts I should consider? Is there anything I should know?

1. RAM is Dual channel... you only have one stick... cant use RAM in dual channel if you only have one stick.

2. Still using old tech.. the current generation (well current for another 2 weeks or so) stuff has various improvements is faster and cheaper.

3. The SSHD boots in 16.5 seconds, the SSD boots in 15.6 ... I don't think you will notice. If you do decide to spring for one, nothing less than...

Yes that will work, but take off the CPU cooler. Your i5 comes with a stock cooler that is designed to keep your CPU cool. Also, if you can, I would go with a Corsair or EVGA PSU. Haven't heard any good (or bad) things about them, just letting you know what I've experienced.

Other than that, looks pretty solid to me.

Hello there!

I took a look at it :D

Everything seems fine, expect the power supply.
CPU is working with cooler and mother board.
(But i suggest an other cooler something like: Cooler Master Hyper 612 Ver. 2)
Motherboard fits in Case,
Ram fits in Motherboard
Power supply fits in videocard, but it doesn't got an 4 pin connector, and your motherboards needs a 4 pi.
The harddisk is fine.
Ram is fine, normally you take 2x 4 instead of 8. But yhea if you want to upgrade later on the 8 is fine.

As i see the only problem is the power supply. You need one with a 4 pin connector for the motherboard: http://prntscr.com/dg6lxc

My last suggestion is a SSD +, around 50$ you have one. This is for your windows, and maybe 1/2 important applications. Kingston SSDNow V300 will do the job :D

1. Always buy RAM in pairs. Ya want 8 GB, buy 2 x 4 ... ya want 16, buy 2 x 8

2. If budget is tight, and I assume it is given MoBo and CPU selection, the 3GB MSI 1060 will serve well for 1080p

3. Unless you have a k series processor, Cooler is completely unnecessary

4. With no SSD, I'd strongly consider an SSHD

5. I'd look for a different PSU and remember every PSU vendor sells PSUs of varying quality. Choose by model number, not brand

EVGA B2, G2, GS, P2 are good... B / B1 you should skip

6. Why last generation Motherboard ... with the next gen starting to drop now, within weeks you will be 2 generations behind.

I changed the motherboard to a Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H-A Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard, I looked and it seemed to have a 6 pin connecter. I also changed the older hard drive to a Seagate 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive. Will it work with everything else I have? (I also removed the cooler, based on other's suggestions)

Indeed it will work!
Good to here about the mobo switch!
If i was you i would take a look at the ssd, its only 50/60 $ and a must have in this time :D

At 120 GB and smaller you will be spending too much time cleaning stuff of the drive. Got so tired of finding PCs on my workbench that were dropped off cause they had no room left on C:\ that we stopped doing any builds with less then 240 GB

4. The Rosewill HIVE is OK for an office box... but I wouldn't use it on a gaming box.
