Stuck in boot loop when ram installed but when no ram installed I get a loop of 1long beep 2 short beep my motherboard is an Asus p8z68-v le processor is i5 3340. I know the ram works as its running in my other pc now to write this post and it's compatible. I've tried a single stick in each slot and same turns on and off continuously sometimes get 1 beep. When I remove the ram it will stay on but cycles 1 long beep 2 short, I've also tried resetting CMOS. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ok so I did some troubleshooting today and I fixed it so thought I would post the fix here for anyone else having the same issue. Basically this board was for 2nd gen Intel but 3rd gen share the same socket 1155 so I wondered if the bios had not been updated to accept 3rd gen cpu. I purchased an i3 2120 just to get it to post and it did so I updated the bios to the latest build 4102. I took out the i3 and put the i5 3340 back in, powered it on and it was all working. So all it took to fix was a bios update and I can get the money back for the i3 so all good. Hope this helps someone in future.
