Good evening!
Let me first explain my predicament. I recently upgraded to a brand new PC, and began from scratch hardware-wise.
I have an Intel SSD PCIE 3 as a boot drive (works fine), a too expensive M2 drive for apps and another normal SSD connected to 6 GB SATA port 5.
I connected a Seagate Barracuda 3 TB to the SATA port 6 and another SSD to SATA port 3. The problem is that they don't show up in BIOS. I have updated my drivers for SATA (Intel and some ASMedia stuff), and my BIOS is updated to the latest version. Still no dice. I've tried to swap cables and try different SATA ports, but to no avail.
Is there some esoteric trick I have missed or something obvious in that using the PCIe lanes makes using SATA impossible?
Any help would be appreciated. My BIOS says the SATA ports are "Empty".
