Infection or Something Else?

I'm not sure what else it would be.. But i'm suffering from an odd issue..

-

It's hard for me to say one way or another, but either my Windows Update Service (wuauclt.exe), svchost.exe (System) or something else has some weird infection or other problem that my Antimalware and Antivirus arent showing..

Because, during the last few days, i've been getting oddly elevated lag issues and other strange stuff.

i later find an Abnormally elevated CPU Usage which i later traced to my svchost.exe process on the Task Manager, this issue seems to start within the first 5 Minutes (give or take) of my starting the Computer, and brings the usage from 0% to about 25%.

Plus, Whenever i attempt to play any of my Games, it seems to trigger MASSIVE Lag, even after i had closed the game in question, and i can see an even more elevated CPU Usage compared to what i should be getting..

So, when i also mention wuauclt.exe (Windows Update Service), i did stop the service and it pretty much dropped the svchost.exe CPU usage to Zero.. but even then, i STILL get the same aforementioned issues minus the elevated svchost.exe usage.

-

So now im wondering if i have some odd infection in relation to either processes that arent showing up on my Antivirus/Malware programs that might be perhaps causing my issue or do you think it could perhaps be something else?

Everything seems to show as Okay, even with a Check and Double Check with a Driver and Disk Check, both showed no visible issues and unfortunately i dont exactly have a WD Drive or Seagate handy at the moment (will need to replace that anyways), so thats a No-Go..

But, now the problem seems to now be Worsening at a quick rate..

One thing for sure, some Malware can bury itself in hierarchy and keep coming back. I also check using the Rootkit revealer. I had my browser hijacked and Malwarebytes found it.
I use Malwarebytes and Spybot Search and Destroy. Some Malware will spread and continually scan and report system usage to third parties and if that's the case you need to get rid of it.
Yes Windows update can be a hog at times however, I think its more than that if you stopped the service.

For a more comprehensive look at what services and apps are doing, Download Process Explorer.

Well, i will attempt the Spybot thing, but as of now, i've attempted:

Inspected my SSD via Any means that i currently have - It Appeared Fine

Did a check disk/chkdsk to see if i had Corrupt Files/Bad Sectors - Nothing

Did a Virus and Malware scan with what i currently have, which DOES include Malwarebytes (Love it) - Nothing

My Drivers all seem fine

I did notice that Windows Update/Wuauserv seemed to have a hand in the svchost.exe (System) problem, so i pretty much Disabled Windows Updates, which did seem to help SOME but i continue to notice the Problem return whenever i use my Web Browser (Firefox) and Games.

Well, here's to hoping this Spybot thing works, if not, then im not sure what other easy thing i can do would be.

-----

UPDATE: Well, even Spybot AND process explorer showed nothing Wrong.. ugh.. im not even sure what to think.

Ok your drives are ok and neither Malwarebytes nor Spybot S&D have found any infection. You have run the Rootkit revealer and nothing. I'ts either a clever Virus that is hiding itself or you haven't as yet discovered the service in Process Explore.
You can try uninstalling the Browser and try another as it may have been hijacked. Usually virus detection discovers that but not always.
What have you installed lately.? If you have then try uninstalling it or a system restore to a date prior to when you installed it.
If that don't work then as AppleGwava said NUKEEEE. Meaning a clean install and yes don't forget to backup your important personal files.

The only thing i had installed was a Game back in October.. only problem is: it was a Game installed VIA CD, but i doubt that would do such a thing..

Though, i did have an incident back in October that might have caused something.

I was playing the game when the Computer Overheated.. which was only the first time it had done so, so obviously it had Shut off incorrectly, and i understand that incorrect shut offs (intended or otherwise) are known to have caused problems.

So if this is an After-Effect of such event, then it seems awfully delayed if i only started noticing it during the last few Days.

Plus, i did have a Battery Replacement done on November 30th but i dont think THAT could cause it.

As for my Web Browser.. well, i'll uninstall it too even though Firefox was said to be a Safe Browser.

Well, If absolutely nothing that i try from here on helps and if it ends up getting even worse than it currently is, then a possible Clean Install or total replacement will probably have to happen in the New Year.

--

UPDATE: Well, I've uninstalled all but 2 or 3 of my Games and Firefox (my old web browser).. and I'd like to say there is at least a Slight Difference but looks to need more work in some way.. well, if nothing else has happened by the end of the Year (in a helpful sense), im clean installing or something, because I'm not even sure why this is even happening without a Totally visible cause.
