I recently added 2 more 8 GB DDR4-2400 G.Skill Ripjaws (total of 4 sticks of 8GM now) to my system to go from 16 to 32 GB of RAM. They are identical to the ones I installed when I originally built my system. I'm using an MSI Z170-A Pro Motherboard and Intel Core i7-6700 CPU.
Everything worked perfectly, memory shows properly in BIOS and seems to be working fine, but now when I put the PC into sleep mode I get no display when it wakes. The computer seems to be "waking up", but there's nothing going to the monitors. I removed the new RAM to go back to 16GB, and there is no issue, so it seems like it must be something to do with this upgrade. I've read several "fixes" for this problem, but none seem to work for me. I've checked my power settings in Windows, but feel like maybe I'm missing something with a BIOS setting or something. I don't know what else to try and I can avoid the issue by just shutting down everytime rather than sleeping the PC, but I would prefer for the system to work properly with the full 32GB of RAM.
Any thoughts on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
