Hello everyone , I'm building my first every pc and I have decided that I'm going to buy a Evga 1060 3GB . I was wondering If spending the extra 100$ to buy and i5 6600k is going to be better than sticking with the cheaper i3 6100 . The games I play are H1Z1, unturned , league of legends , Squad, Battle field , Minecraft, Csgo, possibly arma 3 and more games , I would love too know your opinions
Any advice is greatly appreciated

Battlefield will eat as much CPU power as you can throw at it.

Just my 2 cents, but I don't see the 6600K as having a lot of value. After you consider the extra cost of an aftermarket heatsink and Z170 motherboard, a 6600K system is just as expensive as one equipped with an i7 6700, which is considerably faster in well-threaded games like Battlefield, and far more appropriate for streaming due to its extra threads. The 6600K is nice if you like overclocking as a hobby, but in terms of value I think you're better off with an i5 6500 and inexpensive B150 or H170 board, or an i7 if you're looking to game at 120 or 144hz.

EDIT: That said, an i3 would provide an adequate experience in those games. Don't expect 60fps in the higher budget...
