This is my first build and I'm unsure whether to use the Corsair Link to control the fans and pump on the H100i v2 CPU cooler, or use the plugs on the ASUS X99 Deluxe II motherboard. Has anyone had any experience either way, and guidance?
Thanks in advance. Here's the build:
ASUS X99 Deluxe II MOBO
Intel i7 6950 CPU
Corsair Dominator 128 GB
Intel 3500 series 2TB SSD
GTX 1080 GPU
Corsair RM1000i PSU
Corsair H100i v2 CPU cooler
Corsair 750 Obsidian Airflow Case

To be perfectly honest, let the motherboard handle that, set the limit of intel cpu heat limit to 70% in the bios.
Next set the fan speed to 75%, I'd imagine you don't want to overclock since that chip is at 4.0ghz.
Keep the turbo boost over clock off and water cooler will manage fine on its own.

I suggest you look closely into this thermal grease paste, with that i7 your getting, you'll want a grease that will stand up to that cpu.
