i have a ultrawide monitor with a resolution of 3440 x 1440. currently with my gtx 960 i cannot play games at high fps. my cpu and ram is not a problem. i am willing to pay more money, but i do not want a titan x graphics card. also how much ram should i get on the video card. my monitor is a Dell U3415W. i would like the fps to be above 30 at the very least. also might having mutiple graphics cards help?

I would lean towards a GTX 1080 at that resolution and to be more future proof. My 980 would probably give you your min 30 fps, but that's a low bar. 1070 or 1080 for sure will work, but again just a personal preference for the extra CUDAs.
