Trying to build system that will boot from NVMe m.2 drive. Bad idea?

Hi, I'm hoping to build a new system that can boot from an NVMe m.2 drive. It will be the only storage on the system. I understand that its confusing right now what motherboards can get the full speed of the drive, and also what motherboards can boot from the drive. Here is the motherboard I am thinking of getting:

Gigabyte GA-Z170N-WIFI. The site says: "Fast Onboard Storage with 32Gb/s M.2
GIGABYTE M.2 solution offers considerably faster storage performance and support for both PCIe and SATA interface for M.2 SSD devices."

It does not mention anything about the BIOS detecting the drive as being bootable. If anyone has any idea about this it would help.

Thanks.

Any Z170 mother board with M.2 slot will boot from the NVMe drive in that slot.
the idea is actually not bad at all. I'm using M.2 drive as the only storage in my system.
as for the specific MB you mention, since you are going with Z170 MB. I assume you will get K CPU. I'd recommend to get a bit more expensive ASUS Z170I Pro Gaming as it has much better power design.

Hello n0ns3ns3,
You said that "Any Z170 mother board with M.2 slot will boot from the NVMe drive in that slot".
Could you please tell me if that also applies to any B150 motherboard with M.2 slot?
Thanks in advance.

One last question (sorry for not mentioning it before)....
Booting from M.2 NVMe ssd has to do only with the chipset (for example Z170, B150 etc) and not with the BIOS?
So, if i buy one of the modern intel motherboards (i'm planning to buy "Gigabyte B250-HD3P (released on Q1 2017)" and "core i5 7500") there will be no need to change anything in the BIOS? I will be able to install windows 10 on the M.2 NVMe ssd (Corsair Force Series MP500 120GB) without any problems and without changing anything in the install-boot image of windows 10?

Sorry, for the number of the questions but its my first time building a pc and as i read in different forums, the most difficult part of the built is installing the os on an M.2 NVMe ssd.
