Copied Files To Laptop Hard Drive Getting Corrupted

I connected my Toshiba satellite laptop hard drive ( a hitachi one) to my desktop computer. then copied Some music files to it (about 30 gb). after that I reconnected it to the laptop. open the windows explorer and copied folder is not showing, but hard disk space is reduced.

both computers running windows 10 anniversary 64bit.

no that files aren't hidden. i forgot to say i done error check on laptop hard drive and found errors after they are repaired reduced disk space is recovered

Did the files appear?
I believe it would be a nice idea to check out the health status of both your laptop and desktop hard drives: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility
The SMART report would provide some detailed information on the drives' condition.
