Not sure if this is the right place but if not hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
build is
Mobo: gigabyte z170x gaming 3
cpu: i7 6700k with coolermaster hyper tx3i fan
RAM: corsair vengeance lpx 2x 8gb at 3000MHz
psu: corsair tx750w
ssd: corsair force le 240gb
video card: gainward gtx 1070 Phoenix GS
2 problems im dealing with after only installing the OS (Windows 7)
the fans on the video card were not spinning up at all so my first thought was maybe the drivers need to be updated for them to start.
inserted the cd and after 15 mins the program wouldn't run. I figure maybe I need the drivers and utilities that came with the Mobo first as my windows 7 disc predates the hardware by a significant amount of time.
so I pop in the cd that came with the Mobo and it hangs for what seems like forever but eventually loads up the install package which has been running for 30 mins now and periodically Windows will tell me that the installation programme has stopped responding and then will resume after about 6-8 minutes.
any advice would be greatly appreciated
