I currently have the corsair carbide 400c mid tower case and I also have the corsair h110i gt, which is a 280mm aio. I will be putting the cpu cooler in front of the case, I know that high airflow fans should be used in this type of scenario since putting a radiator in front of the corsair carbide 400c is easy, nothing is resisting the airflow that will come from your case fan. But JayzTwoCents said that if you were to put case fans on a radiator, he would recommend a static pressure fan, why is that? I mean there is nothing that will resist the airflow from the front of the corsair carbide 400c case. So should I mount a high airflow case fan or a static pressure case fan?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Solution
Always use static pressure fans to cool radiators/close up objects. That is what they are designed for. They generally have much higher CFM. The stock fans are SP on your cooler. Alternatively you could use Corsair ML fans which are both SP and AF.

Mounting a radiator with intake fans is a bad idea though.

How about for the top and rear part of the case? There are fan mounts there for 2x 140mm fans on the top and 1x 120mm on the rear, so which will i use the static pressure or the high airflow fan?

I will not be putting a radiator or any AIO on the top of the case. I just wanna know what case fan should I use for the fan mounts on the rear and on the top. So....high airflow or static pressure fan? I just wanna fill up all the available fan mounts on the case, the aio will be placed on the front.
