This is a very annoying issue I have experienced and it must be router-related because I just got a new computer and the problem keeps happening.

So my setup is a router connected to the ISP and a wireless router connected to this last router. I don't know if this makes sense, I literally forgot all I learnt about networking.

The number of the devices connected to this network are usually the following: my PC, my cellphone and usually one or two laptops.

The issue happens as follows: say my PC goes to sleep after inactivity or whatever, and when I bring it back to activity it is unable to reconnect to the network, this icon is displayed and Windows repair tools seem to be useless in this instance. My Android cellphone also displays an icon that suggests something is going wrong with the connectivity (this icon except it is not greyed out but white as if it was connected). I am not entirely show about the connection in the laptops because I do not own them, but I think they lose the connection as well.

Sometimes turning off the wireless router for 10 seconds and turnint it back on worked, but as of late this doesn't help at all. The only thing that seemed to solve it was restarting my PC, then all devices would have their connection back. Obviously this is very annoying even though my new PC restarts very quickly.

But it has gotten to a point that sometimes now even the PC restart trick seems to work. The last two times this happened I had to hard reset the router (not the wireless router, but the other one) to get the connection back.

Does anybody have any idea of what might be going on and any insight in how I may solve it? Thanks in advance.

Rebooting the pc should not be needed.
you can just go to the network device and right click on it, disable and right click enable and it perform the neede task

more to the point, I had a laptop that had that issue, turns out it being a bad Wi-Fi card, I replaced it and problem never came back
some may suggest to go to your device manager and right click on properties of your Wi-Fi card and under power management to turn off the ability to turn off this card to save power.

but your saying that you have a ISP -> Modem -> Router -> Computer/Wi-Fi Devices of all sorts.
and when the laptop goes Wi-Fi dead, other devices are affected ?
if that is true, I would suggest to login into your router via web browser and see what the administration logs say is going on (they will show disconnects etc)

I never said anything about my laptop losing WiFi, I am talking about a PC, not a laptop.
