Computer freezing after a beep sound!!!

Hello people.I have a very big problem,so i kindly ask you to help me.My computer is freezing every hour or so.Sometimes it happens to freeze on startup,on flashing windows 7 logo and other times it happens in games,when surfing the internet or when i click on opera icon,sometimes it even happens on desktop when i don't do anything.Every freeze happens after the loud beep sound and while it's freezed it keeps beeping every 10 seconds or so.So when computer makes a beep everything freezes and i can only restart my computer on restart button on my case or wait some time until it lets go but when it lets go it happens after 5 minutes again so best is to restart my computer and the it happens after hour or two or 5 hours.
My spec are:
Processor:AMD athlon x2 240 2.8Ghz
Graphics:Nvidia GT 220
Motherboard:Gigabyte GA-M720-US3
Power Suply:Frontier 550w
Ram:3gb ddr2
Hard drive:Seagate Barracuda 500GB
Operating System:Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
Can you please help me to find a solution to my problem?

Good idea, you have a dual core older CPU, slow video card and a low quality power supply, all of those can do with an upgrade. If you are just using the system for basic tasks (non-gaming) an i3-6100 system with just onboard graphics is good and not very pricey.
