Pictures can mean more than a thousand words, this is right after booting up, let it cool down for an hour before. The entire system is about 7 months old and hasnt been cleaned so far. I am planning to do so during my days off arround Christmas. Am I dealing with an issue in the thermometer drivers? Is the thermometer itself broken? Is it actually that hot? Is there anything I should do? (clean etc?)

Solution
Very unlikely to be that hot just after boot up. Use your finger/some other temperature sensor and check the temp of the chipsets and vrms to see if they are actually hot (obviously do this carefully). My guess is they will be luke warm.
