Low but hopping temp when playing games?

I was montioring my temps with msi afterburner when playing assassin's creed syndicate,my temp seems fine in general but it constantly goes from 45ish to 53~ and vice versa in a matter of second,is it normal for it to be somewhat unstable?

i3 6100 with stock cooler.

Yeah thats fine. The temp is an aggregate of both cores and will fluctuate by 10 degrees or so naturally. It's a combination of varying CPU load and your cooler doing its job.
