Hi,

So I've had my build for about a year and a half now. It's been working fine with no issues whatsoever over that time. Recently I went to Asia for 3 months and just returned yesterday. When I turned on my PC this morning, the mouse and keyboard aren't getting any power, the displays won't come on and the Motherboard is displaying Error code 04. Before it was showing 00, but now it only displays 04.

Could anyone provide any support or advice on this issue? The power had all been turned off throughout the 3 months I was away, via the PSU switch and via the plug socket switches, however the plugs were still in the wall. So I don't think there has been any power surge issues that could have effected this with it being off the entire time. The CPU watercooling has power, so does the fans and the CD Drive. Just no lights on the keyboard and mouse and the displays won't get signal, just stay black.

I've not done anything to it yet as this was my first build ever, it was a year and a half ago so I'm not super technical. I didn't do a CMOS clear yet as if it's a silly issue that can be fixed without doing that then I'd rather not.

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820k
MB: MSI X99S Gaming 7
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 970 4GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4

Thank you.

I ended up taking it into a shop to get fixed. The Bios was corrupt. I'm not sure exactly how they managed to reset it to get the Bios appear on the displays but they got it working easily and didn't cost much because it was a quick fix.

I did try a CMOS reset myself but that didn't work. So they must have done a different method.

Just thought I'd update for anyone that suffers the same issue.
