at the end of the month im planning on buying a new case a kraken x61 and a new ssd. currently i have a metal atx case that weighs like 40lbs. im wanting to move to a mid tower case. i take my computer 250 miles to my parents house every now and again. im looking into the h440 and the s340 elite. my question is is how fragile is the tempered glass? will it be ok to move that distance?
what case would you recommend?

Solution
There is very little weight difference between various case sizes.
Your large case is probably only around 25 pounds, with an ITX build weighing in around 20.

The thin sheet metal of the case just doesn't weigh all that much.

The H440 and S340 don't have any tempered glass, just acrylic windows. I would not consider it fragile but it will scratch with contact.

tempered glass is extremely heavy compared to sheet metal and acrylic, so cases like the inwin which feature tempered glass, are extremely heavy. Tempered glass is extremely strong provided you don't hit it on the edge.
