I have had my PC running for about 10 months but the other day I was updating my Nvidia drivers when my computer flashed to black and now only turns on for a second and shuts off. I narrowed it down to were if I unplug my 8pin CPU plug from the mobo it will power on continously but with no video or POSTing at all. I tested it with another PSU and same thing, is it my motherboard or possibly the cpu?I have had some issues in the past with a couple BSOD and freezes and when I restart it says that I was overclocking when I wasn't, was this for shadowing of the mobo breaking?

ASUS Z170A Motherboard
Crucial 8GB RAM
INTEL 6600k
MSI GTX 980
