To add some RAM to the new laptop I bought (Dell Inspiron with i7-7500u CPU) I requested my local supplier of computer hardware to install a 8 GB memory card having the same specifications as the DDR4 RAM which was pre-installed on the computer.
These specifications include this data: 2400 Mhz (as described in the official specifications) and I requested a RAM card with exactly the specification 2400 Mhz. The store keeper assured me he would follow my istructions.
However, after he gave m back my computer, I found out that the RAM card he installed is only 2133 Mhz.

Now, what I would like to know from you is: apart from being slower than the other installed RAM card (which is 2400 Mhz), could the difference between the two RAM cards (8 GB each one) cause some problem?
Please advise me as to what I should do, or what you would do in my place. That is, should I go through the trouble of going back to the store, complain, etc... ?

Thanks

George

Since the ram works, you need do nothing.
You might run memtest86+ to verify that all is ok.
Yes, both sticks will run at 2133, but you can't tell the difference.

If you wish, you could ask for a price accommodation because of the lower speed that was installed.
