R9 270 vs GTX 1050 Ti

hello everyone i was wondering if upgrading from the R9 270 to GTX 1050 Ti is worth it? how much of a performance boost will i get?


computer specs:
FX 6300 @4GHz
8GB RAM
1TB HDD
MSI R9 270(non-x)
Corsair CX series 430w

It's all about what is important to you .... the 1060 and 480 for example are very well matched but 1060 has more OC headroom, 80 watts less power, quieter, less heat, ShadpowPlay etc. Everyone has diffrent concerns so pick what favors your goals.

The 1060 3Gb is a fine choice for 1080p, especially if you have fit issues, only about 7% slower than the 6 GB model ... last week it was $195, then it was up, now down to $200 again

The 270 is a 7870 with a slight speed boost, so I don't think you will see that much of an improvement. It depends on the games and settings of course, the 1050 ti has 4gb of memory so that can make a difference in some games. If it were me I wouldn't spend the money on anything less than an RX 470 or 1060 3gb. That's really what would be a step up for you, a 1050 ti is ~$140 but it's not going to give you $140 of extra performance over your 270.
