Hi
I'm trying to use this card as a bootable drive. I'm using it with a pcie adapter.
Here are the card and the MB:

SSD card = SK Hynix 256GB M.2 02P56M
Motherborad = Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3

Can't see it in the bios. I appreciate if someone can help.
Kind regards.

I use the same motherboard on my custom rig at work. Specically got that board because of the M.2 slot and support for PCIe/NVMe M.2 Booting. So yes that board will work and it also WAAAY better than your old one.
Booting from ANY kind of PCIe device on that motherboard isn't support.

Pretty much think of it this way. If a motherboard does NOT have a M.2 slot don't expect to boot from a PCIe slot.

Also you need a uEFI BIOS which that motherboard does not have. There are VERY few AMD boards that can support M.2 NVMe/PCIe boot right now.

Now you CAN use it as extra storage but you can't use it to boot from.

Many thanks drtweak for your response.
I have now a Gigabyte GA-990X-GAMING SLI Hopefully it will do the job.
