Hey all,

So this is the build I have ordered (first time PC builder): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qdbbTH. I was on the phone to place the GPU order and the person from Newegg seems to have added the "Over-clocked" version of the GTX 1060 6gb vs a regular one. Does this have any special impact or require additional component (aka cooling)? Any feedback on potential configuration or cooling issues I could have is most welcome as I am very new to this. As a side note, I do not intend to overclock now, but perhaps that could be nice in the future.

Thanks!

Overclocked means that the card is running a a higher frequency than the base frequency.

Nearly all aftermarket/board partner cards (ones that aren't made solely by Nvidia [which are called reference/founders edition cards]) come with overclocks. This is a good thing as the higher the clockspeed the better the performance (90% of the time). You will not need to add anything, these board partner cards have better cooling as well to go with the overclock so things don't get hot.

Basically the manufacturer of the card took a Nvidia 1060 put their own clock speeds on it and put their own cooler on it.
