my MB will not post but my cpu after running it a while I turn it off the feel the bottom of the MB where the cpu is its warm so is my cpu still good? thank you

If you don't even POST I doubt the CPU is even running. Probably just the voltage regulators on the motherboard.

Update: just saw above post so I guess we agree

(If the CPU fan isn't spinning then your CPU would be off regardless as protection circuitry would shut it down)

Also, even if it was running the fact that POST fails doesn't prove much.

Either way, you need to start swapping parts. That includes the POWER SUPPLY. (any compatible power supply is sufficient for testing bootup. Even if it's only a 250W ATX or whatever as long as it works).

POWER SUPPLY is the place you should start first, unless you have motherboard diagnostic LED's or beeps that suggest otherwise.

Borrow, buy, or even test in a different PC.

If you see the CPU fan spinning then make sure it's not simply a lack of graphics output which could indicate a bad GPU. One solution there is to swap GPU's to another card, or remove it and use an iGPU if your CPU has one (monitor would then attach to the motherboard).

think you could be right about that everything runs perfect all fans spin just no post think my cpu is good then after a while it is warm on the bottom and one of the heat sinks are warm as well
