Less disc space after system restore?

Hi, hoping someone can help.

I'm running Windows 10, and I was having some audio problems (alternating between 'no audio out device is installed' and 'no speakers or headphones are plugged in'). I couldn't see any hardware issues, so thought it might have been something to do with the drivers. Uninstalling/reinstalling did nothing, so I loaded a restore point from when I had audio (this didn't work either, but I've resigned myself to the fact that I won't have any audio for now).

I only have a 128gb SSD (real size 116GB), so space is important, but according to the drive properties, I've lost around 10gb from the system restore:
Space before restore = 61GB.
Space after restore = 50GB.

I've run TreeSize Free and WinDirStat, and they indicate my drive only has 42.1GB taken and 36.5GB taken respectively. Running Windows disc cleanup didn't help either.

I just can't see where all that space has gone, was hoping if anyone had any ideas?
Thank you in advance.

Hey there, Laura_Timmy.

It does sound a bit weird, but nevertheless, there are still some thing you could try and see if they can cleanup the drive. Check out this article for a few suggestions: http://www.howtogeek.com/125923/7-ways-to-free-up-hard-disk-space-on-windows/. Also here are some tips for SSD users: https://www.maketecheasier.com/12-things-you-must-do-when-running-a-solid-state-drive-in-windows-7/ (don't mind that it says Win 7, those suggestions are still viable for the newer versions as well).

Also some screenshots of what you see when you use those disk space analyzing programs, could prove useful as well.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes.
