Hi guys, this is my first post here. Well, I wanted some advice on whether I need to get an aftermarket cooler or not. My rig -

Intel i5 4670 (non K) at 3.4ghz - stock cooler
EVGA GTX 1060 sc Gfx card
Corsair 1600 Mhz 8gb ram (will upgrade soon)
Seasonic S12II series 620W PSU
And a cooler master storm enforcer case with a 200mm inlet fan at the front and a 125mm at the back.

Now my issue is, on idle, my pc is currently around 32-36'C @ 5% usage which is fine since I come from a warm place and the ambient temperature is around that much. But I just got the game "Watch dogs 2" recently and when i run it at high, My Cpu usage shoots up to around 60 - 70% usage and the temperatures shoot up, in-between 70 - 78 'C (maybe more in other big titles).

I want to know, if getting a new budget cpu cooler (Cooler Master Hyper 103 ) is a good idea since while I am sure it would reduce the temps while gaming significantly, would it unnecessarily reduce my idle temperature by too much as well? Currently, the climate is 29'c in winter. Will it reduce is too much on idle, and how dangerous would that be, keeping condensation in mind. I don't want my idle temps to reduce by too much and I obviously don't know if a cooler comes with a base temperature. I'm pretty new to these things. So any reply/ help on my question would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You never have to worry about temps being too low or condensation when talking about air and liquid coolers. It is physically impossible for the cooler to take the temperature of your components below ambient. The only people who need worry about condensation are people who use phase change cooling, LN2, or similar sub-ambient systems.
As long as your temps are under 80c your safe, but over that is dangerous. I would recommend you pickup a cheap and very effectve cooler like the Cooler master Hyper 212 Evo or the Cryorig H7. Try cleaning out the dust from inside your PC, that should improve cooling a bit. How many case fans do you have?

There's a sticky at the top of this section of forum about this.

You don't need a new cooler. Your CPU will not throttle to prevent a shortened lifespan until 100c, and will not shutdown to protect itself until 130c. This is apparently where Intel (who made the CPU) sets the limits. Lowering its temperature from where it's at will not affect performance or lifespan in any measurable way.

Thanks a lot for all the advice guys! I just don't like seeing it read 80-85'c. A mental fixation i guess. So I guess everything's cool. Thanks again for the information.
