First time pc build " Xeon compatibility "

hello everyone
this is my first ever "xeon" build
i was going for the 6950x "10c , 20t"
but i thought of giving the xeon a chance .
main purpose : 3D rendering on maxon cinema 4d , and after effects .
i just want to make sure that everything here is compatible
none of the companies will refund

what was strange is that i have found the same processor but with different title
for example :
HP BL460c Gen9 Intel Xeon E5-2640v3 2.6GHz is about " 1133 $
HP ML350p Gen8 Intel Xeon E5-2640 2.50GHz " about 1430 $
so what does the hp stands for ? i also found IBM LENOVO !
it supposed to be only intel ! right ?

so is this rig GOOD for rendering ? or i better go with
cpu : 6950x
mobo : asus x99
ram : the same ones i mentioned earlier

There are FOUR revisions of the E5-2xxx line, see the SERVER PROCESSORS listed on the Intel ARK -- http://ark.intel.com/
The motherboard you listed supports V3 and V4 versions of the Xeon.
I couldn't tell from your post if you are planning on one or two CPUs? If you are doing 1 CPU then 4 DIMMs is OK. If you are doing two CPUs you should get 8 DIMMs. The memory you listed looks like a desktop RAM, and not a server RAM. You need registered (RDIMMs) ASUS has a list of DIMMs that they have tested -- http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/Socket2011-R3/Z10PE-D16_WS/QVL/Z10PE-D16_WS_Memory_QVL_161206.pdf?_ga=1.89231773.78729220.1403039375

If you are using two CPUs you need to verify that the power supply you are getting has two ATX12V...

If you are using two CPUs you need to verify that the power supply you are getting has two ATX12V 8-pin CPU power plugs. 650W is kind of small for dual CPUs -- 750 would be better.

i am actually planning to use dual cpu that's why i am getting dual socket motherboard , and i will make sure about the power
one last question , from the website i am trying to purchase the cpu from
they put " HP BL460c Gen9 Intel Xeon E5-2640v3 "
and " HP ML350p Gen8 Intel Xeon E5-2640 2.50GHz "
so i don't need to worry about these weird titles ?
HP BL460c and HP ML350p and IBM LENOVO
because i want a desktop and doing some rendering , not anything more .
so i am all good ?

You DEFINITELY do need to be concerned with the description. One of those parts is a V3 and one is a V1 version of the chip. The V1 version won't work with the motherboard you identified. That is what I tried to point out in my first sentence of the previous post. The "V" number at the end IS important.

A HP BL460c is a server blade, a ML350p is a tower server. That information is less important than the part number and version of the CPU.
