Hi, hi people i need some help over here.
Issues are: packet loss and fps drops while gaming. (these 2 combined are impossible to play games with).
I'll start from beginning..

I got to a new appartment with fresh installed system on my pc and new internet 50mbp/s. Everything was great untill my CS:GO started crashing with errors "vpk errors" and i couldn't play the game.. well i could but once i got that error i needed to verify the game cache(5min) and download about 1GB of files to make it work again, which i did constantly just to be able to play. Also there were 2-3 blue screens during every day.

Many said to me it was my RAM memory but i tested it with memtest86+ for about 9hrs while i was sleeping and there were 0 errors, so its not that. Then i went on some forum and shown them some reports with one program and one guy said my CPU is overheating and making my game unplayable and blue screens. I went to clean my PC case and saw that my CPU cooler was unstable for some reason. When i went to unplug it and clean the cooler i saw that the two of the plastic pins that go into the motherboard where broken which was the problem of lag.

Since i couldn't just go and buy the cooler cuz i had no money, i just turned my pc sideways so that my cooler stays well on top and that it can actually cool. With this "fix" also came insane packet loss 20-50% while gaming which is almost constant and low fps, fps drops too. I share my internet with brother but hes not a heavy user and i pathpinged, tracert and pinged my net and barely any packet loss, only in gaming.

So what is the deal here guys? Should i just go and buy cooler? Can it also be something else too? I can send some reports on temps and stuff like that, just send me the programs. Btw one more information, while i am gaming my CPU is at 60-66C and 100% fan usage. Thanks guys sry for the long post but i really need a hand with this.

I'm no expert but I don't think using gravity to make sure your CPU cooler stays put is any sort of workaround that will uh, work. Think about it: there's a small fan constantly spinning the entire time your computer is running. And that spinning is causing tiny vibrations of the entire cooler which is causing to move around even if you cant'see it. Bottom line is you need a new CPU cooler and you need to install it and secure it properly. And don't forget to clean off your old CPU thermal paste and put on new paste. Luckily almost all coolers come with a small packet of paste that contains at least 3 or 4 applications.

It was a workaround because it fixed the blue screens and crashes in games.. but they still accur sadly so you are probably right about vibrations. What if the cooler doesn't fix the problem i am having? Where should i look next? Based on the info i gave? I'll report back once i install the new cooler anyways so we'll see. Thanks for reply
