Switch on pickup always on (CS:GO)

I have an issue where "switch weapon on pickup" always turns itself on everytime i restart the game, it's very annoying when I forget to turn it off when i start and it feels silly that it can destroy a whole round.

I use a autoexec but it doesn't seem to work with the "cl_autowepswitch "0" command

Any ideas?

Sounds like the config file or the folder the game is in you don't have administrative permissions for, so when the game tries write over the config file, it can't and loads up the default setting.

Try running the game in administrative mode, and/or try taking ownership of the CSGO folder.
