Is this a good pc that will last.

I am looking at a gaming computer that I think will do well for me as I am aiming for high settings on 1080p 60fps. And so I am wondering will this pc last 3-4 years and will it be able to play newer games on high settings.


Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K SkyLake 3.5GHz 1151 Processor

CPU Cooling: Thermaltake Intel CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H170-Gaming 3 LGA 1151 ATX Intel Motherboard

Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4-2400 Desktop Memory Kit

Graphics: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 ARMOR Overclocked V1 6GB PCIe Video Card

Solid State Drive: Toshiba OCZ TR150 Series 480GB SATA III SSD

Power Supply: EVGA 500 Watt 80+ Power Supply

Wifi: TP-Link TL-WN881ND 300Mbps Wirelss N PCI-E

I do know that the mobo and CPU cooler have to be upgraded if I want to overclock and that I should upgrade the memory and ram.
Besides that any feed back will be great.

3-4 years is about how long it should last, both physically and while being able to play games on good settings. If you changed the PSU to a Corsair CX450M, it'd last (physically speaking, before a part breaks) probably quite longer, another 2 years or so.

I agree with turkey on the PSU, the EVGA isn't a good one, the Corsair he recommended is much better. And IMO its a waste of money to buy the 6600k if you aren't getting a Z170 motherboard. Drop it to a 6500 or upgrade the motherboard. If you drop to a 6500 you can dump the cooler, the stock one is fine.

Well for 3-4 years to last I would probably think about getting 16Gb memory.
Is this what you already have or just thinking about buying ?? what is your budget ??
