Hello community i want to migrate my windows install to my ssd but i got some questions
The ssd is a 120gb hyperx cloud 9

The question is if i run out of space were will windows install updates my current install has a total of 81.9GB and im going to be using AOMEI partition assistant for migration and ive done my best to make as much space without removing windows files ive even move user pictures videos ect to another location on another partition.

Solution

When you run out of space, you run out. Windows will not install new updates to a different drive. They become part of the OS.
These days, a 120GB drive is right on the edge of 'too small'.

Your current 81GB will work, just barely.

This is how you do the migration:...

These days, a 120GB drive is right on the edge of 'too small'.

Your current 81GB will work, just barely.

This is how you do the migration:
-----------------------------
Verify the actual used space on the current drive is significantly below the size of the new SSD
Download and install Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration, if a Samsung SSD)
Power off
Disconnect ALL drives except the current C and the new SSD
Power up
Run the Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration)
Select ALL the partitions on the existing C drive
Click the 'Clone' button
Wait until it is done
When it finishes, power off
Disconnect ALL drives except for the new SSD
Swap the SATA cables around so that the new drive is connected to the same SATA port as the old drive
Power up, and verify the BIOS boot order
If good, continue the power up

It should boot from the new drive, just like the old drive.
Maybe reboot a time or two, just to make sure.

If it works, and it should, all is good.

Later, reconnect the old drive and wipe as necessary.
Delete the original boot partitions, here:

How large is the page file? Consider setting it to 1 or 2GB.
Restore Points. How much space is that using?

Yes. Remove nothing else.
Clone away!
