Happens when playing Battlefront 2015/CS:GO. Game will drop to about 0-3 fps and just glitch out for about 10-15 seconds, always at the worst time.

RAM usage at these times is usually fine, but I've seen it go to almost 100% during this time.
CPU usage SOMETIMES goes from like 60% to 99% and then back, but it's not consistant with these issues.
Temps are fine, max on the cpu is 52C and gpu is 60C, so temps are not the issue
So what's going on? GTX 1080, latest drivers.... nothing else running in the backround, and this happens EVERY 10-15 minutes I play, and it's been doing this for a few weeks now.
CS:GO isn't a cpu/ram demanding application, so the fact taht it happens there is very odd.
I've had my new gtx 1080 in the system for a few months now with no issue until recently..
Any help is appreciated.
