the 470 is definitely a much better card.. I would consider a 4gb 480 because the 470 typically is in a bad price range. It's only slightly less than the 480, but I believe it was around a 25% difference in average fps. I'm not looking at the benchmarks, but I want to say it was somewhere near 25% less. from what I've seen the 470/480 was only around 20$ difference which is around a 13% price difference. If the 470 is a nice bit less right now when you buy it vs the 480 and its still enough for what your doing then surely go for it.

The 1050 Ti is a budget card, the 470 is not. The 1050 Ti is at the top end of the budget category that includes the RX 460 and regular 1050. The RX 470 is the low end of the mainstream category that includes the 480 and 1060. Bottomline, all other things being equal if you can afford the 470 then get that.

Agree.
Came to the same conclusion after a lot or research. Found good cyber monday deal on MSI rx480. By far best bang for the buck.
