My laptop only has an ssd and I don't want to store my pictures and junk on it but I need to have them readily available. I can't be lugging an external hard drive around to use for storage. I was gonna get a flash drive and leave it in the laptop to keep my files on but I hear they are unreliable. I don't know what to do. Should I just get a bigger ssd and leave my crap on it or will it still be bad for the ssd?

Hey there, SmKlos.

If you have enough space on the SSD it's not going to be bad for it if you store your pictures and other stuff. However, you might have another option if you laptop has an optical drive (e.g. a DVD-Rom). If it has one, you could replace it with an SSD/HDD caddy (this is basically a new slot for another drive) and get an HDD which you can use as a secondary storage drive.

Hope that helps.

Do you use any Clouds based software? I suggest maybe using something like OneDrive - you can save your images, files and videos onto there and access them from anywhere.

But saving them onto the SSD wouldn't be the end of the world.
