There are many other models in both resolutions, but the three I've listed in each are some of the best options currently (without going into big money IPS panels, like the Asus PG279Q)

Actually there is a 24" 1440p 144Hz monitor. I just bought this Dell 24" 1440p 144Hz G-Sync monitor for $350 last week on Cyber Monday. The difference between 1440p and 1080p is still noticeable for me at this screen size too. Also, the fact that this monitor supports G-Sync makes it a great choice for people with Nvidia GPUs.
