SSD Missing Space

Hi,

I have about 64GB of missing space from my Sandisk Ultra 2 960GB SSD. I used to gave a 250GB partition on the drive for the OS, but I recently added an m.2 SSD for this, so deleted the partitions during Windows 10 installation.

Anwyay, I was just doing routine file management, and noticed that I don't have (roughly) 64GB of space - all file managers I have tried are displaying 894GB of space, and I can't even see the 64GB of missing space. It's not unallocated, nor is in any other existing partition.

I was wondering if you knew of any solution to this, because prior to this, I had all the space available to me. If you need any screen shots, I'll happily upload them.

Thanks in advance :)

Your drive is working normally.

Again Windows uses 1024 instead of 1000.

Lets do some math.
960 000 000 000 bytes / 1024 to get kiilobytes
937 500 000 kilobytes / 1024 t0 get megabytes
915527.34375 megabytes / 1024 to get gigabytes
894.0696716308594 gigabytes.

You have lost nothing. It is just a difference in how Windows shows size vs driver makers.
A screenshot would help for sure.

Something like Windirstat may help you locate these files.

Please note that SSD makers use 1000 for kilo/mega/giga, while Windows uses the more computer friendly 1024(Most other operating systems have switched to 1000 and 1024 has been given the name gibi in stead of giga, but that is another story.)
