Here are my specs:
I havent built it yet.
Intel Core i7 6700 3.4GHz
ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Dual
Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4

As Microsoft has already moved out their focus to Windows 10, what is going to happen to Windows 7?

I mean its already going to run on skylake and is kind of incompatible.

I wanted the best OS so i chose Windows 7 first. I want to run both old and modern games and only Windows 7 is going to work for me.
I have used 8.1 and 10 before and 10 sucked.
Its Backwards Compatibility shouldnt be even mentioned.
I cant just get 10 for the modern features it offers....yeah even thats worse....10 has got lots of bugs.....i cant even think...had a really worse experience with 10 and i am hesitating to get back to it. But i am forced to.
Because Windows 7 is kind of being avoided these days.
Its going to suck if Windows 10 is made the only OS to support newer games.

What should i do?

Should i go for 7 or 10?
I dont want to regret my decision afterwards so just asked the experts.

I actually had a chance to get the PS4. But everything happened so fast that i dint even get a chance to think. I accidentally bought some pc games so i thought if i moved on it would be a loss for me. I thought for me PS4 is not going to be a great deal, as i am from a village.
The idea of building a high end pc came later.
If i get PS4 i would be secure as its not going to get out of market in the near years. I can play games until the next model comes. But In thr case of Windows 7 its already going to end soon.

So what should i do?
Build this PC with windows 7 or buy a PS4?

Or to get benefit from both.
Should i buy a PS4 and build a Pc With a cheaper hardware?
What should i do?
Please help.

Look at it like this: that i7/GTX 1070 combo will absolutely blow a PS 4 out of the water. It's not even a fair fight. And I feel your pain about going with Windows 10. When I built my new rig last month I was stuck between trying to recycle my old Windows 7 key or buying a completely new Widows 10 key and keeping my old PC around for the kids to play with. In the end I went with Windows 10. And I'll be perfectly honest "retro gaming" is overrated. And this is coming from a guy who's been playing video games on and off since 1980. I have two big boxes of PC game discs sitting in my attic all dating between 1995(ish) and 2007(ish) and I haven't even looked at any of them in about 2 or 3 years. Any old PC game I want to play I just get on...
The PS4 will last only maybe a year or two more, same with Windows 7.

Windows 10 is the way of the future, as a long time user, it does a lot of things better than 7 does. The initial shock of the difference between the two is mostly just visual. Underneath all the Windows 7 things are still there.

Even the PS4 Pro, is already not looking like a good enough improvement. Many games aren't performing better on it.

Games that don't work under 10 off the bat is the exact same situation the XP games not working on 7 had, they'll require more and more tweeks to get them work right, until you start needing outright emulators like DosBox, just deal with it.

Agreed.

Took me forever to be weaned off of XP.

What "older" games are you able to run on Windows 7 that you couldn't get to run on Windows 10? I've had zero trouble with my older games, & I mean games almost 13 years old now -- Halo:CE, Starcraft, SWAT 4, Diablo 2, just to name a few. The only games I had trouble installing on Windows 10 were games that wouldn't work under Windows 7.

I wasnt able to play games like:
Bully Scholarship Edition
Age Of Empires Gold
GTA VC
GTA SA
GTA IV EFLC
etc.

Most of my Old Collection Games didnt work on it.
I have a lot of my childhood pc games so as even games like these dont run , i wondered how others will.
